The Prime Minister’s Skill Development Scheme (PMKVY ) is one of the important schemes implemented by Government of India to provide skill training to the unemployed youth and make them capable to get employment. This led to the launch of the fourth phase of this scheme namely PMKVY 4.0 targeting those who have not enrolled themselves in the program.
What is PMKVY 4.0?
The fourth phase of the PMKVY intention for the scheme is to help solve the problem of unemployment through providing training in skills development among the youths of the country. This new phase also has continued the process of earlier phase and aims to provide training at Skill India Training Centers. After the successful completion of the training, participants will be awarded a certificate, and a cash incentive of Rs 8000.

Criteria for PMKVY 4.0 registration

- Be currently unemployed or be a homemaker, be an unpaid caregiver for a dependent or be a student with no regular employment.
- Had not earlier availed any of the phases of the PMKVY.
