Get ready to hear some good news central government employees! The Department of Defence said that employees who are qualified for the programme will get approximately 40 days salary. This additional money will deposit to their bank accounts shortly which they really need.
Who Will Receive the Bonus?
This bonus will be paid to the personnel of the Indian Army and the Army Ordnance Corps (AOC) who are the defense civilian employees. As per the notification of the Ministry of Defence, the bonus has been approved by the President for the financial year 2023-24. But not all the central employees will enjoy this bonus because the defence civilians who is covered by this list has to work under the PLB scheme.
How is the Bonus Going to be Determined?
To be more specific, the bonus is going to be determined by the employee’s wages and productivity. The limit to calculate the bonus will be up to ₹7,000/- only. To know how it works, let’s take an example of an employee paid a monthly wage of ₹20,000. After spreading the salary over 30.4, multiplying it by 30 gives a bonus of roughly 19,337.
Additional provisions for Casual Employees
The casual workers will also be rewarded their bonus, although it was computed based on ₹1,200 per month. Any other provision still one under the operation of the PLB scheme that helps in determining bonus allocation would be implemented to the later, thus promoting fairness in the bonus sharing ratio. It is a good financial privilege for such employees, so it’s a fever for those who is going to get the bonus!
