Announcing Bonus for the Central Employees the Central government employees have received some exciting news they will be receiving a bonus of forty days of their salary. This extra money will be reflected directly in the bank balance of our employees who stand to benefit from the arrangement, thus positive news for most employees. Besides, this bonus comes on the heels of a recent enhancement of the Dearness Allowance (DA) from 48 to 53%.
Who Will Receive the Bonus?
This bonus will be paid to the qualified defense civilian employees engaged in the Indian Army and the Army Ordnance Corps (AOC) for the fiscal year 2023-24. This bonus has been authorized by the President and declared officially by Ministry of Defence. Certainly, this bonus will only apply to a limited number of Defence civilian employees only and such employees who come under the PLB scheme.
How is the Bonus Calculated?
In this case, the type of bonus is tied to the employee performance and, to some extent, their salary. Employee can get an amount of money based on his salary but in this case the salary should not exceed Rs 7,000 for the calculation of the bonus.
Based on calculating the bonus, the employee gets a sum by dividing the amount of their monthly salary by 30.4, then he multiplies the sum by 30. For instance, if an employees’ salary is Rs 20000 then his or her bonus will be Rs 19737.
Bonus Rules for Casual Workers
New casual workers including those who were previously contract employees also deserve a bonus and it shall be paid respective of the following estimated monthly wages of Rs 1,200/-.
