What is EPFO?
EPFO is one of the better investment schemes whereby the employees, as well as the employers, make their premiums. Currently, it is the culture of the company that employees take 12% of their basic salary while the employer also takes an equal proportion. The payment after retirement can either be in a lump sump amount or can be paid to the employee in form of pension.
EPFO Interest Deposited
Today is an important day for EPFO (Employees’ Provident Fund Organization) members, as the interest amount has been deposited into their PF accounts. EPFO provides an annual interest on the accumulated balance, and this year, the interest rate is 8.25%. Employees had been eagerly waiting for this, and now the interest has been credited to their accounts.
How to Check Your EPF Balance
There are several easy ways to check your PF balance. Here are some options:
- Using UMANG App
- Install the UMANG app on your smartphone.
- Log in using your User ID and Password.
- Select the ‘View Passbook’ option.
- Your PF balance will appear on the screen, showing the amount and date of deposit.
- Using the EPFO Portal
- Visit the official EPFO portal.
- Go to the ‘Employees’ section.
- Log in using your UAN number and password.
- After logging in, select ‘Member Passbook.’
- Enter your UAN number and password again to view your passbook.
- Missed Call Service
- You can also check your balance through a missed call. Dial 9966044425 from your registered mobile number.
- You will receive a message with your account balance details.
- Via SMS
- To check your balance through SMS, send ‘UAN EPFOHO ENG’ to 7738299899.
- You will receive a reply with your PF account balance.
