Big Hike on Dearness Allowance for Central Govt Employees on the Eve of Diwali

In a recent development, which tricks happiness on government employees, The central government has made it official and increased the dear the essence allowance by 3%. This decision has been prompted in the wake of employees given the Festive Season of Diwali expecting a raise in their allowances.

Details of the DA Increase

Last week, at the time of a cabinet meeting, it was decided that increase in the DA for more central government employees will be 3%, which would be a help financially to many. Similar to this announcement, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Vishnu Dev Sahay said that the state government employees are to be given 4 percent DA which would make the total DA of the state government employees 50 percent of the basic pay. Impact on Employees

By this adjustment central government employees will be availing 53% DA. The decision is expected to benefit near about 390000 employees in Chhattisgarh only. Chief Minister Sahay added that this rise has been given as a Diwali bonus to the employees due to festive season expenditures.
