Bajaj Auto is destined to introduce a new entrant in the Pulsar series, the Bajaj Pulsar N125, on October 16th. This new model we expect to be delivering an expressive sporty appeal with utility enhancements hence becoming a first class commuter bike tailored for city riding conditions. Now that the market buzz is created, here is, as of now, everything you need to know about the motorcycle that has so many people waiting.
Design and Features
The Bajaj Pulsar N125 is expected to carry forward the Pulsar brand’s aggressive styling and will be aimed at the young and active customer riding community. The bike will include a fuel tank extension, split seat, and a two-piece grab rail which will give the bike a much more chiseled look.
Also, the bike is expected to come with LED headlamp as the Suzuki bikes have kept on offering for the last one or two years. Most of those nice features such as smartphone connectivity for mobile communications while on a ride have also been included.
Engine and Performance
Still, under the skin, the Pulsar N125 could contain a 125cc, single-pot motor comparable to the present Pulsar 125. However, more specific modifications are yet to be revealed, the bike should be very performant with its 5- speed gear transmission system. Bajaj may bring in some changes to improve the engine’s performance and make it more inclined towards the other side of the metro commute segment.
Braking and Suspension
Some of the features of the Pulsar N125 include a front disc brake and a rear drum brake making the bike easy on the stops. A derivative model with the rear disc brake and single-channel ABS is also expected to enhance safety. For suspension, there will be telescopic forks at the front and a rear monoshock as the bike is designed for comfortable riding across various terrains.
Expected Price
Pitted directly against models like the TVS Raider 125 and the Hero Xtreme 125R, Bajaj is expected to price the Pulsar N125 at ₹90,000 to ₹1 lakh (ex-showroom). Such a pricing should ensure that it appeals to those riders who would like to ride quality bikes with adequate features at reasonable prices.
