Important Update for Government Employees New Rule Regarding Retirement Verification

How Will the Process Work?

When Does the Process Start?

The first round of the scheduled periodical verification shall commence for the government employee from January 31, 2025. In accordance with the CCS (Pension) Rules 2021, this verification was mandatory for employees for the first time. Finally, each employee will have to file the “qualifying service status” every year for updating their files.

Department Guidelines

The Ministry of Personnel has also given out information about this new requirement to other government departments. He urged departments to make sure that employees have forwarded all their qualification service certificates before the retirement age is achieved.
