This is in the wake of the recent announcement for the increment in the dearness allowance (DA). The new bonus plan is expected to give a lot of positive impacts on many employees in the government sector.

What is the New Bonus Announcement?

The government has decided to award a pay increase for eligible employees that would amount to forty days pay. This decision was made official in a recent notification and many people seemed to have found some sort of comfort in that decision. This special bonus will be provided to the employees of the Indian Army and the Army Ordnance Corps (AOC), alongside every other employee within the defended civilian framework who has been receiving their bonus based upon productivity.

How Will the Bonus Be Calculated?

The amount for the Bonus will be as per the current pay scale of the employees of a particular month. It shall be 40 days’ salary which is ten days more than their regular monthly wages earn. For instance if an employee of a certain company earns ₹20,000 every month then they will be receive a bonus of up to ₹19,700.

This bonus will be applicable for all the employees belonging to group B (non-gazetted) and group C civilian employees of Indian Army and AOC who are under PLB scheme. But the biggest allowed amount is ₹7,000 for the bonus amount.

Bonus for Casual Workers

Casual labors will also be given this bonus plan, though their bonus will depend on ₹1,200 assumed monthly wages. Workers who earn less than ₹1,200 will get the basic bonus based on their wage to the extent that they can prove they have been paid this amount.
