The following payment for retirees and people receiving SSDI will be delivered on September 25, 2024. This payment will go to people who didn’t get checks on previous dates-September 3 11 or 18.
To be eligible for this payment, applicants need to have applied for but not restricted to retirement or disability benefits from SSA, be approved, followed all SSA requirements and guidelines, and born between the 21 and 31 of any month. For instance, SSI recipients will have to wait until October 1 for an award of their payments.
Benefit Payments for Social Security Programs
When they were developed, all monthly payment amounts were set without any of the anticipated 2025 COLA hence the 2024 monthly payment amounts remain the same. Current data show that the average monthly Social Security retirement benefit is $1,920; conversely, monthly SSDI payment is about $1,539.
For SSI beneficiaries, the individual can have a maximum of $943, while married people can have a maximum $1,415. Combined, SSI beneficiaries receive an average of $697. Pensioners are those that get the highest benefits with some of them getting up to $4,873 even though few persons get this amount.
