State government of Madhya Pradesh recently has passed an order concerning to DA arrears regimentation for employees of state. As per the new information, these arrears which are from January to October 2024 will be released in four equal tranches to help around one lakh seven thousand employees of the state.
DA Arrear Payments Schedule
The DA arrears for the period of January to September, 2024 will be spread equally in order to maintain efficiency and organization when it comes to payment. The schedule for the installments is as follows:
- First installment:December 2024
- Second installment:January 2025
- Third installment: February 2025
- Fourth installment: March 2025

The amount that each employee is to be paid will be determined by an ‘Arrears Calculation Sheet’ to avoid any misunderstanding of the actual amount which he/she is supposed to receive. For instance:
Class One officers are expected to earn roughly Rs 57,000
- Class Two employees are almost paid Rs 32,000
- Third Grade employees paid around Rs 14,000
- Fourth Grade employees up to even Rs 7000
There is a clear procedure for addressing these arrears within the district and the actual payment of these monies are handled by the district treasury officers.
Recent DA Hike and Its Benefits
The state government recently declared a 4% DA increase just before Diwali boosting the DA from 46% to 50% for its employees. It ensures that the employees receive an extra amount ranging between Rs 620 and Rs 5640monthly.
The arrears are expected to assist all employees to deal with inflation as the enhancements were made retroactively from January 2024. The November payroll will include a separate line item for the October DA arrears with the first of the four parts scheduled to disburse to employees in December will be credited on 28th October.
